Lucija Vranešević Grbić’s article “The Legal Blueprint for NBA Europe: Adapting the U.S. Sport Model to European Law” has been published in the NYSBA Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Journal, Vol. 37, No. 3 (2026), a publication of the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.

Written for U.S. practitioners from a European perspective, the article examines how the planned NBA-FIBA league fits the European sport model and the EU competition law after several CJEU judgments, and the principle of sporting merit.
